Embracing ‘Kindness in Bloom’: Celebrating May Day, Lyme Disease Awareness, and Acts of Love

Happy May Day loved ones!

Today marks the beginning of a month filled with growth, renewal, and heartfelt traditions. Every May 1st, I find a lot of joy in reviving a childhood tradition that’s still dear to my heart—delivering May baskets to moms, a gesture of affection and appreciation that I cherished doing for my late mother each year. It’s a simple, loving act that embodies the spirit of spring and the nurturing essence of motherhood.

May also ushers in Lyme Disease Awareness Month, a time that holds personal significance for me. Witnessing my family and friends‘ battles Lyme disease and wanting to protect others from such hardships inspired me to introduce a top-rated mosquito and tick repellent to the market a few years back. It’s more than a product; it’s a shield crafted from love, science, and a deep respect for nature—a testament to my commitment to health and kindness.

This May, I invite you to join me in embracing the theme “Kindness in Bloom.” We’ll be intentional about cultivating kindness in every corner of our lives, from the way we treat ourselves and others to the care we give to our environment. Whether it’s through volunteering, supporting local moms with gestures of appreciation, or protecting our families and communities from the dangers of ticks and mosquitoes, every act of kindness contributes to a healthier, more sustainable, and compassionate world.

As we step into this blooming season, let’s help one-another nurture the bonds that connect us, celebrate the beauty of renewal, and safeguard the wellbeing of our loved ones. Together, we can make kindness not just an act, but a lifestyle.

Wishing you a beautiful and fulfilling May,

Kari Warberg Block
